Questions You May Have
What can be powder coated?
Almost any type of metal can be powder coated. From the heads of screws to street lights, metals of all sizes can be powder coated. Many non-metal materials can be powder coated as well, including glass bottles and ceramic materials.
What are the advantages of powder coating?
Powder coating offers substantial benefits over wet paint. Powder coating is more durable and resists corrosion. No solvents are used in powder coating (unlike liquid paint) so negligible amounts of VOCs (volatile organic compounds) are released into the air. Unused or over-sprayed powder can be recovered, resulting in easier waste disposal.
What are the applications of powder coating?
Architectural, Structural, Oil and Gas: Continental Powder Coating, a division of Calgary Powder Coatings, has many years of experience and expertise in powder coating for our harsh climates. The application of our Extra-Guard Plus ensures long-lasting corrosion protection and high-luster finishes without fading or chalking. Our attention to quality control in all stages of pre-treatment guarantees our customer's satisfaction.
What are the methods of restoring metal products?
Restoration : There are several options of stripping and surface conditioning for restoration of metal products, bringing the surface back to its original new metal surface. Once the metal has been restored to its new, near-white surface, the Extra-Guard protective coating is applied, followed by a topcoat colour of your choice. Standard stocking colors can be applied, or we can special order custom color matches to meet your specifications.
